Breeding

As the CKC states, a dog is a lifetime commitment, with that in mind we send out an application to prospective puppy or dog parents so that we can feel comfortable that our pups are suitable for an applicant.

In addition to an application, we like to meet with anyone interested in adopting one of our pups before the pup leaves.
This meeting allows us and the puppy parents an opportunity for questions, concerns and a sharing of ideas, etc.

Puppies are sold on a CKC non-breeding agreement unless otherwise arranged and are $3500

It is standard good breeding practice and a strong recommendation by the CKC; that prospective puppy parents should not be expected to purchase a puppy without having visited the kennel or the breeders home and having met their dogs.

With that in mind, Cleghorn Kennels does not place anyone on a waiting list that has not had both the questionnaire portion and the interview portion of their application approved by them.

Thanks for your interest in Cleghorn Kennels,

Diana Cleghorn

We only sell to families with children over the age of 8.  A safe and secure area must be provided for a puppy placement. All pups are sold with a contractual understanding that they are NOT to be spayed or neutered until they are at least 1 year old unless medically required by a certified Veterinarian and then only with the written authorization of Cleghorn Kennels.
